“God of love, full of love. Love is who You are; love is what you give. God of love.”  This is a Psalm by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey that perfectly mirrors His David-like heart.

In 2010, while passionately pursuing his calling to bless the Lord and the nations with songs, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey was led to host a worship concert which he called “Born to worship”. Although a few members of this newly put together group had previously been ministering with Pastor Nathaniel, this would be the first time this team of musicians would work together. They are: Felix Jackson, Oghenekaro Alakpa, Titilola Oloyede, Princess Onkar, Seunfunmi Joan Stephen, Olajumoke Oshoboke, Abigail Bassey, Emmanuel Uzozie, Lekan Dixon, Kehinde Orilogbon, and George Alao; later to be joined by Segun Olasehinde.

During one of the rehearsals leading to the event, while ministering songs of love to God, Pastor Nathaniel prophetically christened the group “Lovesong”. The group is home to worshippers in different crafts: vocals, instrumentals, poetry, and songwriting. Lovesong has since then remained a tool in God’s hands, serving alongside His servant Pastor Nathaniel Bassey to bring God’s will on earth.
